Behind the Brand: Why V Football Supports Grassroots Clubs

Grassroots football runs on volunteers, early weekend car journeys, and clubs stretching every penny of kit budget as far as it will go. It's the part of the game that rarely gets the spotlight, even though it's where most players start.

Where the idea came from

V Football was built around the everyday reality of grassroots football — kit that needs to survive being worn twice a week, washed by a parent between matches, and handed down to a younger sibling the following season. That's a very different set of demands to elite-level kit, and it shaped how we approached design from the start.

The Ambassador Scheme

Our Ambassador Scheme supports grassroots clubs, coaches, and players who want to represent their team while getting access to V Football kit. It's built around genuine grassroots involvement — Sunday league sides, junior academies, and community clubs — rather than influencer marketing aimed at elite-level exposure.

Why it matters to us

Kit costs add up quickly for families and clubs, especially for items like shin guards that need replacing as kids grow through a season. Supporting grassroots clubs directly is our way of putting something back into the level of football we make products for.

Getting involved

If you're part of a grassroots club or coach a youth team and want to find out more about the scheme, get in touch through our website — we're always looking to support more clubs across the UK.
